$150.00Kingsley was born at our shelter on Feb. 11th. He strongly resembles his mom Hetty, who appears to be lab/beagle mix, maybe with terrier and/or heeler. We don't know who his daddy is. He was the smallest of his litter but has caught up nicely in size. His adoption fee of $150 covers all of his basic vet work - 3 distemper/parvo combo vaccinations, microchip, rabies shot (when old enough), and neuter surgery (when old enough). Kingsley's young life has had some bumps in the road. He and a couple of his siblings were born with some slightly bowed back legs which have caused some mobility issues. However they are getting stronger and more coordinated daily and we are hopeful that they will outgrow it as they mature. He's a tough little guy with an incredibly loving personality that just makes you want to give him all the love possible! NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
Adoption Process
Starts with written Application form which includes questions regarding housing situation (rent/own etc. renters require landlord approval), History of previous or current pets, Vet information, Animal housing information (cats must be indoors, dogs fenced yard etc.). Fees for Cat Adoptions are $50 (or $75 for two) Dogs vary based on breed, size, etc. Average is $125.
