Meet Lady

Meet Lady! 5-year-old, Terrier/Chihuahua Mix, and 17 lbs. Lady is a sweet, gentle girl who is learning to adjust to her new life in Iowa after being surrendered due to no fault of her own. She made her way here from Oklahoma and is now looking for her forever home. Lady is a little timid at first and still finding her way in a new environment, but she’s incredibly affectionate once she feels comfortable. She’s fully potty trained and does well on a leash. Lady is a low-key companion who enjoys a more relaxed lifestyle—her ideal day includes cuddling on the couch, often nestled in a soft pillow or blanket while her humans are nearby. She’s perfectly content being left out to roam while her family is away for work (6-7 hours per day) and has never shown any destructive behavior or accidents in the home. She is a quiet and well-mannered lady who just wants a calm, loving space to call her own. Lady currently shares her foster home with 3 adult medium/large dogs and one playful puppy. While she tolerates the puppy, she’s not particularly fond of the puppy’s energy and would do best in a home with either older dogs or no other dogs at all. She’s been wonderful with the children in her foster home (ages 9 and 13), and she enjoys their company. Lady has not been exposed to cats, so we’re unsure of how she would react to them. Lady is looking for a loving home where she can enjoy the quiet life and be cherished as the sweet companion she is. Adoption Process
We require an application be completed, do home visits and check references. Have meet and greets with children and other pets. We require animals be returned to us if circumstances change. We require a signed adoption contract. We do not allow our animals to be kept outdoors. $100 Senior Dog (9+ years old) $200 Adult Dog $225 Puppy $30 Senior Cat (10+ years old) $60 Adult Cat $100 Kitten (or 2 for $150) Purebred/Designer dog adoption fees will be determined on case by case basis dependent on finders fees, vetting costs and transporting fees. Each purebreds breed will determine baseline fee.
