Meet Tackle, the MVP (Most Valuable Pup) on the field and off! This black German Shepherd puppy, sporting a little white on his chest like a pro jersey, is always ready for game time. He’s got moves like a seasoned player—zooming around with his foster brother, tackling rope toys, balls, and even snuffle mats (with or without treats). Tackle is fully-potty trained and knows how to "sit" like a champ, especially when it’s chow time—he waits patiently for the whistle (or the food bowl). Currently in training camp, Tackle is working on his leash-walking skills, but he's already an all-star when it comes to snuggling. After a big play, he loves nothing more than laying his head on his human teammate and drifting off to sleep. He's also a pro in his kennel, sleeping through the night without a peep and handling daytime crate time like a seasoned veteran. This happy, sweet boy is ready to score big with his forever family. If you’re looking for a furry teammate who's got heart, hustle, and plenty of love, Tackle is your guy!Like any of our dogs, this handsome boy would make a great addition to an active home that will provide the love, structure, good leadership, activity and mental stimulation that his breed needs. Because of that, Tackle's ideal owner will have prior GSD or similar herding breed experience, and a friendly dog buddy for Tackle. Even if you exercise and play with your dog daily in your fenced yard, please remember that you MUST still take your dog out on daily walks and outings, in order to provide sufficient stimulation, ward off boredom, and work on leash skills, and manners. Tackle's adoption fee is $450, all of which goes back into offseting our high-cost vetting expenses and rescuing more dogs. We are a 100% volunteer-run rescue group and rely on adoption fees and donations to continue saving lives. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, fecal, deworming, flea/tick and heartworm preventative, heartworm tested if old enough (and treated if positive), and microchipped.
