She has taught me so many things already about living life in a home setting and being part of a family. A Sherlock, the standard poodle, has been an amazing comforter and friend. I've learned a lot from him too. I do need a fenced yard to keep me safe as I have just started to learn how to walk on a leash and go potty outside. I am still spooked easily, all of this is very new to me. I don't know the dangers of roads and cars and I do not know any recall at this point in my new life. Do you have a fenced yard and a home full of love and patience to continue my journey becoming a house pet and a family member? I am two years old, I weigh 50 pounds, my adoption fee is $400 plus sales tax $18=$418 My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, spay, dental if needed and microchipping.
Adoption Process
Usually we are contacted by a SD shelter about a dachshund that is not doing well (nipping etc.) and that they are going to be put down. We take them in get them vetted and then place them up for adoption after they have been evaluated. We also take calls from folks who have called their local shelter about there dachshund that may have started nipping at small children etc and are told the dog would be put down. We also take calls from other rescues about breeder dogs.
