Cindy Lou is scheduled for her spay on Wednesday, March 19 and has not yet completed her puppy vaccinations. Due to this she is only available for adoption within 30 minutes of Des Moines, Iowa. This restriction will be lifted after she has been fully vetted. Cindy Lou Who is an approximate 11-week-old, 12 lb., female, possible Cattle Dog/Heeler mix. She came from a shelter in Oklahoma with her momma and 2 brothers. She was born at a truck stop in Oklahoma after her momma was dumped there and became pregnant. Momma has the look of an Australian Kelpie. She is small and only around 30 lbs. Cindy Lou and her siblings will likely be around 40 lbs. full grown. We have no idea who Daddy is so his breed mix is unknown. Cindy Lou came into rescue about 5 weeks old and cautious of people. She was the most scared of the litter, but she has opened up quite a bit the past couple of weeks. She needs continued socialization and a loving forever home that can show her the world and help her gain experience so she can be the carefree puppy she deserves to be. She has been getting outside to explore and work on her bravery and she loves it! She is a clean slate with being a house dog and will need all the training going forward. Her foster mom is working on helping her feel safe outside and gaining experience to help her confidence. She is a sweet little girl that has so much potential. She will need to work on house training, leash training, and kennel training with her new family.
