Meet Babu

Babu is one of the cutest, busiest little buggers you will ever meet!  If a human is on the move he will be right there to make sure he’s not missing anything! He was recently surrendered along with several other adult dogs and a litter of puppies.  Our vet, her staff and foster mom think he is a mix of Chihuahua & Pug and is likely about 2 years old.  He weighed in at 18 pounds. He is enjoying life in his foster home where there is almost always a nearby lap and plenty of snuggles and pets.  He is learning to share affection and food with other dogs.  There is some mild resource guarding likely due to group feeding and being the littlest one is the group in his previous situation- Foster mom is working on this! He absolutely loves his teen-aged human foster sister and follows her everywhere she goes.  He has the most adorable underbite giving him a perpetual grin!   As he was only recently neutered he still has a tendency to mark, but foster mom is also working hard to break this habit by establishing a regular potty schedule and keeping a close eye on him when he’s on the move. Babu would make an excellent companion for a senior looking for a wonderful companion who can provide moderate activity since is he still young. He would likely do well either with or without other dogs in the household. He is untested with cats in his foster home but generally gets along with other dogs -big and small. Adoption Process
We require an application be completed, do home visits and check references. Have meet and greets with children and other pets. We require animals be returned to us if circumstances change. We require a signed adoption contract. We do not allow our animals to be kept outdoors. $100 Senior Dog (9+ years old) $200 Adult Dog $225 Puppy $30 Senior Cat (10+ years old) $60 Adult Cat $100 Kitten (or 2 for $150) Purebred/Designer dog adoption fees will be determined on case by case basis dependent on finders fees, vetting costs and transporting fees. Each purebreds breed will determine baseline fee.
