Meet Bobby

We are an all-volunteer/foster home-based rescue. Apply to adopt by filling out the online adoption application on our main website dakotadachshundrescue.org Click on Adoption Info under the Navigation bar on the left side of the page. Fill out the form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it.  Bobby came from a difficult situation  He is now learning that he is a puppy and he loves it!  He is learning to play and loves the other dogs  Due to his past he is working on not guarding his food  He needs to know he will have food to eat   Bobby is timid at first Amother social dog in the home would be great  He will need a secure fenced yard  Bobby is about a year old and weighs about 8 pounds  His adoption fee is $600 plus tax of $27 fir a total of $627     My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, neuter, dental if needed and microchipping.

Adoption Process
Usually we are contacted by a SD shelter about a dachshund that is not doing well (nipping etc.) and that they are going to be put down. We take them in get them vetted and then place them up for adoption after they have been evaluated. We also take calls from folks who have called their local shelter about there dachshund that may have started nipping at small children etc and are told the dog would be put down. We also take calls from other rescues about breeder dogs.
