Meet Maribel

Hello! My name is Maribel, but I also go by Sugar or Sugs.) I had a bit of a rough start in life, but I'm super healthy and happy now.  My favorite thing to do is play with all of my toys, It's so much fun making my Mommy and Daddy laugh.  I love to have a toy or something in my mouth at all times and this includes treats!  I also love going for walks, cuddling on the couch, sleeping in bed at night with you, and car rides. One thing everyone one should know about me is that I'm SUPER SUPER strong. I had my DNA test done and I am 100% Boxer, that means I love to box, and can jump as high as I need.  I'm doing pretty well with my potty training and haven’t had an accident in over a month. Seems as though I might have to go potty a little more than normal, but I have been checked for a bladder infection and I'm clear of that.  I'm very curious about other dogs and think I would like to have a friend, but it would take some time to get acclimated. At this time I really have no idea about other dogs and once tried to play with a huge Newfoundland  and I got overwhelmed and started boxing.  Having my own yard with a fence would be perfect for me. I will be the right fit for the perfect home.

Adoption Process
All potential adopters must complete an adoption application which includes veterinary records for any current or past pets; adopters go through an interview process and a home visit. Once those steps are approved, the potential adopter can meet available dogs that fit the criteria and are a good match between family, home, and dog. An adoption contract is signed with the stipulation that RCBR can do a follow up visit and remove the dog from the home if any part of the contract is breached. Dogs can only be adopted once spay/neuter or other medical conditions requiring treatment are completed. An additional training contract is signed for any dog needing further training. If the adoptive family cannot keep the dog for the long term, the dog must be returned to RCBR. RCBR must be notified if family is planning to euthanize dog due to illness and/or old age or unknown behavior issues and can then elect to take back the dog.
