Meet Amelia

AWe are an all-volunteer/foster home-based rescue. Fill out the form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it.   Amelia is a very sweet but very very timid and skittish girl. She is a recent breeder release that is just starting her journey to become a house pet and family member. She is doing well with her house training, she does not walk on a harness and leash yet she is too frightened.She does require a fenced yard to keep her safe as she does not know the dangers of roads, cars and trucks and she does not know recall commands at this point. Amelia is 3 yrs old, she weighs 9.6pounds, her adoption fee is $400 plus sales tax $18=$418   My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, spay, dental and microchipping.

Adoption Process
Usually we are contacted by a SD shelter about a dachshund that is not doing well (nipping etc.) and that they are going to be put down. We take them in get them vetted and then place them up for adoption after they have been evaluated. We also take calls from folks who have called their local shelter about there dachshund that may have started nipping at small children etc and are told the dog would be put down. We also take calls from other rescues about breeder dogs.
