Meet Roxie Hart
The name on everybody's lips is gonna be Roxie! I'm a star! And everyone loves me. And I love them! I love to give kisses and I'm friendly with people and other dogs. And I'm SO beautiful, but you probably already noticed that! I have a lot of energy, but I settle down after I get my exercise. I love to go on pack walks with my foster fursiblings! I also like to play with other dogs who have a rough and rowdy style like me. I've been spending time with a small human, and I do well at matching energy. When the small human gets excited, I get excited! When they calm down, so do I. I eat in my kennel and sleep there at night. I've done great staying out during the day as long as somebody's keeping an eye on me and desirable items are kept picked up. (OK I admit it, I kinda have a thing for socks and stuffed animals!) I'm learning all kinds of new words like "sit" and I'm picking things up quickly. I sometimes guard the human and the dog door from the other dogs with a little grrrr, but we're working on that too and I'm doing much better! Sharing is caring, they say! Are you falling for me? I'm falling for you too! Put your app in for me, Roxie Hart, before Broadway hires me and I get whisked away to New York City!
Adoption Process
Our Adoption Process
After you submit your adoption application, via our website, http://TaysiaBlue.com, a Taysia Blue volunteer will
contact you within 2-3 days. We are most interested in which type dog will
be a good fit for you and your family and the other pets in your home.
We will also contact you by phone to learn
more about the dog you're looking for and to review the current available
dogs in our rescue.
We will schedule an appointment for you to meet the dog(s). If a match is made,
we can complete the adoption process at that time. If we don't find the
perfect match, we'll keep trying till we do!
We hope that your home is the very last stop on the dog's journey and we do
all we can to help you and your dog make the transition easier, including
providing you with an information packet loaded with tips and resources.
Our quality standard vet care is as follows:
• Spay/Neuter - All dogs will be spayed or neutered prior to being
adopted.
• Heartworm Test - If the heartworm test is negative, the dog is placed on
regular heartworm preventative. If the heartworm test is positive, the dog
is treated to eradicate the heartworms and then placed on regular heartworm
preventative.
• Rabies vaccination
• DHP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo) vaccination
• Bordatella (kennel cough) vaccination
• Flea and tick preventative
• Microchip
Our adoption donation requirements are as follows:
• Puppies 6 months of age or younger require a donation of $350.
• Dogs over 6 months and under 8 years old require a donation of $300.
• Dogs 8 years and older require a donation of $250.
