Meet Tootles

Tootles and his littermates will only be adopted to a family living within 45 minutes of Des Moines due to the continued routine vet care they need. The restriction will be lifted after their puppy vaccinations and neuter is complete in early November.    Tootles is a happy, playful puppy who had a rough start to life, but he has quickly learned what love is and found the joy and comfort of a human lap. He and his littermates are a local surrender that came in malnourished and covered in fleas. They have been thriving in their foster homes with an appropriate diet, monthly preventatives, and lots and lots of love!  At 13 weeks, he weighs around 10 lbs. He is a mixed breed puppy, possibly hound mix. He enjoys following his humans around the house and loves to be told he's a good boy. He is a bit of a daredevil and enjoys climbing and jumping. He excitedly pounces into his kennel when it's dinner time and enjoys that he no longer has to fight his littermates for food. He settles well in his playpen at night and enjoys a comfy bed to sleep in. He uses potty pads when his foster family is away, but he prefers to potty outside and goes to the door when he needs out. He loves to play outside and climbs on everything like it's an obstacle course. Tootles enjoys the company of the other dogs in his foster home but does get scared when rough play is involved. Tootles would love a family who will help him learn to be a confident and happy pup and teach him all about the positive things in the world. Tootles is a young puppy that is working on house training and basic commands. He will do well with cats, dogs, and kids with proper guidance and introductions.    Littermates: Rufio (M), Pockets (M), Cubby (M), Curly (M), Tootles (M), Nibs (M), Wendy (F) If you are interested in meeting this puppy, please complete an online application at https://hopeanimalrescueofiowa.duplie.com/forms/196/dog-application Adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, and age appropriate vaccines.
