David Bowie is scheduled for his neuter on March 19 and will not be available for adoption outside of a 30-minute radius of Des Moines until after his neuter. David Bowie came to Iowa from an Oklahoma shelter with his momma Zarah and 8 siblings when he was approximately 5 weeks old. He was assigned a birthdate of 11/23/24 since we don't have an exact date of birth. David Bowie is a possible Border Collie/Husky mix and weighs just under 10 lbs. at 10 weeks old. Meet Bowie, the sweetest pup with a heart full of love and an endless desire for belly rubs! This snuggle buddy adores curling up next to his humans and is always ready for playtime with his much larger foster fur siblings. Some of Bowie's favorite things include chasing tennis balls, gnawing on bones, and playing in water. He's a happy-go-lucky boy who's making amazing progress with kennel and potty training — he's already well on his way to being the perfect companion. If you're looking for a playful, loving pup who will fill your life with joy and snuggles, Bowie is the one! David Bowie needs an active family that can provide lots of play time and activities that stimulate him mentally. He will not be adopted to a family living in an apartment, condo, or townhouse due to his being vocal at times and needing a yard to play in. We are looking for a family that has experience owning active, vocal dogs and one that can keep up with a very active dog. Another active, social dog living in the home is also a plus. Adoption Process
We require an application be completed, do home visits and check references. Have meet and greets with children and other pets. We require animals be returned to us if circumstances change. We require a signed adoption contract. We do not allow our animals to be kept outdoors. $100 Senior Dog (9+ years old) $200 Adult Dog $225 Puppy $30 Senior Cat (10+ years old) $60 Adult Cat $100 Kitten (or 2 for $150) Purebred/Designer dog adoption fees will be determined on case by case basis dependent on finders fees, vetting costs and transporting fees. Each purebreds breed will determine baseline fee.
