Meet Honey Badger

Honey Badger is scheduled for her spay on March 18 and will not be available for adoption outside of a 30-minute radius of Des Moines until after her spay. Honey Badger came to Iowa from an Oklahoma shelter with her momma Zarah and 8 siblings when she was approximately 5 weeks old. She was assigned a birthdate of 11/23/24 since we don't have an exact date of birth. Honey Badger is a possible Border Collie/Husky mix and weighs just under 8 lbs. at 10 weeks old. Don’t let this little girl’s size fool you! Honey Badger is the runt of the litter, but she loves making up for it with her big personality! She is a super sweet and smart little girl. Honey has taken to potty training well and sleeps well in a kennel at night. She loves exploring outdoors, jumping and bouncing around the house, and playing tug and fetch with toys. She gets along great with her active foster family and plays with her big foster brothers and sister. Her favorite place to snuggle and sleep is in your arms nuzzled into your neck. She will make a fantastic dog for a family who is active and has the ability to train her and keep her busy. Honey is a gorgeous girl with two different colored eyes and beautiful markings. Honey Badger needs an active family that can provide lots of play time and activities that stimulate her mentally. She will not be adopted to a family living in an apartment, condo, or townhouse due to her being vocal at times and needing a yard to play in. We are looking for a family that has experience owning active, vocal dogs and one that can keep up with a very active dog. Another active, social dog living in the home is also a plus. Adoption Process
We require an application be completed, do home visits and check references. Have meet and greets with children and other pets. We require animals be returned to us if circumstances change. We require a signed adoption contract. We do not allow our animals to be kept outdoors. $100 Senior Dog (9+ years old) $200 Adult Dog $225 Puppy $30 Senior Cat (10+ years old) $60 Adult Cat $100 Kitten (or 2 for $150) Purebred/Designer dog adoption fees will be determined on case by case basis dependent on finders fees, vetting costs and transporting fees. Each purebreds breed will determine baseline fee.
