Meet Pepe Le Pew

Pepe le Pew is scheduled for his neuter on March 12 and will not be available for adoption outside of a 30-minute radius of Des Moines until after his neuter. Pepe Le Pew came to Iowa from an Oklahoma shelter with his momma Zarah and 8 siblings when he was approximately 5 weeks old. He was assigned a birthdate of 11/23/24 since we don't have an exact date of birth. Pepe le Pew is a possible Border Collie/Husky mix and weighs just under 10 lbs. at 10 weeks old. This little pumpkin is smaller than his sister Kallik but makes up for it in all his sweetness. He has a very soft black and white coat, with the sweetest white tip on his tail. He is a more timid puppy & we are working on all the socialization with him. He warms up quickly and has just as much puppy energy when he does. In his foster home he has been exposed to children, cats, dogs, chickens and other farm animals. He is kenneled at night and when unsupervised with his sister. They have had no problems. He is a lover and very intelligent dog who has caught on to potty training so quickly. He is the total package! Pepe le Pew needs an active family that can provide lots of play time and activities that stimulate his mentally. He will not be adopted to a family living in an apartment, condo, or townhouse due to her being vocal at times and needing a yard to play in. We are looking for a family that has experience owning active, vocal dogs and one that can keep up with a very active dog. Another active, social dog living in the home is also a plus. Adoption Process
We require an application be completed, do home visits and check references. Have meet and greets with children and other pets. We require animals be returned to us if circumstances change. We require a signed adoption contract. We do not allow our animals to be kept outdoors. $100 Senior Dog (9+ years old) $200 Adult Dog $225 Puppy $30 Senior Cat (10+ years old) $60 Adult Cat $100 Kitten (or 2 for $150) Purebred/Designer dog adoption fees will be determined on case by case basis dependent on finders fees, vetting costs and transporting fees. Each purebreds breed will determine baseline fee.
