Meet Millie

Millie is a female possible hound mix.  Millie (Vanilli) is a year-old probable beagle mix and she has the voice to prove it. She’s 37 lbs of energy and cuddles. She loves to run and would be a great companion for an active person or family. She likes men which is a big plus for re-homed dogs and she’d be great with older kids. Of course, she’s house trained. Millie is smart and discovered how to wriggle out of her kennel. Fortunately, she’s not interested in anything other than finding her rightful place on the sofa, so she’s been left out alone at her foster home from the beginning. She’s happy to go into her open kennel at night when the rest of her pack settles in bed. Millie has also quickly figured out the treat dispensing ball and any other mind game toys her foster parents can come up with. Millie is working on leash walking, but she has places to go and rabbits to chase so learning to mind on the leash is a progression. She gets along well with her big dog foster brothers but seems to want to challenge other dogs her size. Millie was abandoned and appreciates all the snuggle time she can get once she’s done chasing all the birds and squirrels out of the yard.  If you are interested in meeting Millie, please complete an online application at  https://hopeanimalrescueofiowa.duplie.com/forms/196/dog-application Adoption fee is $250 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, and age appropriate vaccines.
