It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Lizzo is a blue-and-white pitbull with a big personality packed into her short, stocky frame. This little ham is full of love and ready to bring smiles wherever she goes!She does well with dogs and kids, and her initial cat test went smoothly. Lizzo is a great listener, knows sit and paw, and walks like a dream on a leash. Whether she's showing off her tricks or soaking up belly rubs, Lizzo is ready to charm her way into your heart.Could you be the one to give this sweet girl a cozy place to land? If so, submit an application at ITVrescue.org.All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary.
