Grainger County Humane Society

The Grainger County Humane Society receives NO funding from our local government or other outside sources. The humane society exists on donations from private individuals and businesses, and volunteer effort. We DO NOT have an animal shelter or an Animal Control Officer at this time. All work is done by volunteers. A Spay/Neuter Clinic is our immediate goal. A Shelter/Adoption Facility and an Animal Control officer are part of our long term goals.

Meet Gizmo

Gizmo is a 5-year-old Beagle Hound mix.  He would like to be king of his castle and live his best life as an only dg. He is looking for a home that includes car rides and snuggles. He is probably not a good fit for a home with kids unless they have lots of dog experience. Due to his history of lack of food, he is very protective of his food which could cause issues with kids.

Adoption Process
Adopters must fill out an Adoption Contract, animals are spayed/neutered and current on applicable vaccinations. Adoption fee is $100.00
