It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Buddy! Buddy is a handsome 2-year-old cream and white mixed breed weighing 61 lbs. Recently rescued from Evansville Animal Care and Control, Buddy is now ready to find his forever family!This energetic guy is full of life and loves staying active—especially when he gets to run on the mobile slate mills, which are his absolute favorite! Buddy is open to meeting other dogs and would thrive in a home that can match his enthusiasm for fun and exercise.If you’re looking for an adventurous companion, Buddy might be the perfect match! Apply to adopt him at ITVrescue.org! All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
