It Takes A Village No-Kill Rescue

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Gelato! Gelato is an adorable mixed-breed puppy, born in July 2024, and currently weighs 19 lbs. This sweet and playful little one is young enough to adapt to any loving home and is eager to find her forever family!With her affectionate nature and boundless energy, Gelato is ready to bring joy, cuddles, and endless fun to her new family. All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
