Meet Elyse

We cannot get enough of ELYSE’s perfect puppy dog eyes. Stunning Elyse is a girl with a big heart and so much love to give. She desperately wants a human to love. Elyse tries so hard to figure out what you want from her and responds well to direction. She's a mixed breed girl, about 2 years old and fully grown at 38 pounds. Her breed mix is a mystery. Every photo of her comes back with a different breed guess -- everything from Black Mouth Cur to Kangal or Anatolian Shepherd to Pembroke Welsh Corgi to Jack Russell Terrier. She has a soft medium length coat. Elyse is an energetic girl who loves to run and play and can spend hours entertaining herself with toys. Elyse is a bit timid in new situations and is best suited to a home with a physically fenced yard where she can run and play. She would be okay as an only dog, or in a home with another dog who is calm and well balanced. No kitties for Elyse. If you’d like to meet Elyse, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Elyse at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
