It Takes A Village No-Kill Rescue

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Kennedy

In Need of a Foster Home!Meet Kennedy, a 1-year-old black and white pit mix with a heart full of love and a leg on the mend. Recently pulled from a partner shelter in Kentucky, Kennedy is recovering from a broken leg and is currently sporting a cast.This sweet boy deserves a cozy, loving home to heal in instead of staying at the rescue. While he needs to be contained for his recovery, Kennedy’s gentle spirit makes him a wonderful companion during his healing journey.Can you open your home to help Kennedy heal? Apply to foster at ITVrescue.org. All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
