It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Shila

Shila is a four year old female beagle that weighs 23 lbs. She arrived at ITV heavily pregnant and soon gave birth to a litter of adorable puppies. They all found homes and now it's sweet mama's turn. Shila is very submissive, gentle, and loving. She really comes alive when she's outside and allowed to follow her nose. She's easy to handle on a leash, so it will be fun for an adopter to take her on walks so she can explore all those fascinating smells. Please come meet this wonderful girl! Apply at ITVrescue.org for Shila.All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
