It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Bates is ready for his forever home! Previously pulled from Evansville Animal Care and Control, this playful pup may be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he’s a total cuddle bug.All Bates wants is love, attention, and a little guidance to help him become the perfect gentleman. He loves chasing balls and toys and is available to meet other dogs.Due to his background, we’re unsure how he does with kids and cats, but cat testing can be done to ensure compatibility.Apply to adopt Bates today at ITVrescue.org! All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
