Meet Newton 2025

NEWTON is a simply stunning beagle boy looking for a home. He's a gentle soul who needs a bit of time to warm up to new people and in new situations. Newton is about 2 years old and fully grown at 28 pounds. He has been gaining confidence in his foster homes and loves to do backyard zoomies with his foster siblings. A timid dog like Newton needs a home with a confident dog who can help him navigate his new life. We've discovered that Newton is a bit of a hoarder, he likes to collect all of the stuffed toys in his foster home and take them "home" to his crate. Newton is a perfect gentleman in the house and sleeps all night in his comfy bed. Newton needs a physically-fenced yard to keep him from following his nose into trouble. Given his timid nature, he's not well suited to a home with small children. Newton is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet sweet Newton, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
