Pet Adoption Services, Inc

Pet Adoption Services, Inc. is a non-profit all breed cat and dog rescue organization in New Orleans. Supported by over 20 volunteer members, Pet Adoption Services was founded in 1996, although some of our members have been involved in rescue for as long as 20 years. Our mission is to secure loving permanent homes for homeless, abandoned or abused cats and dogs of all breeds. While awaiting adoption, our animals live in the homes of one of our foster parents. During this time the animals receive any necessary veterinary care, including but not limited to, vaccinations, spaying or neutering and perhaps heartworm treatment. Our experienced foster parents continually assess each pet's personality and temperament allowing us to place adoptable cats and dogs in just the right permanent home.

Meet Destiny

Destiny is a heart-warming tale of resilience and love. Found abandoned with her sister as tiny pups, she faced a tough start but has blossomed into a delightful companion. She’s past the chaotic puppy phase, making her the perfect match for someone seeking a loyal friend without the constant whirlwind.  This girl is a social butterfly who adores both humans and other dogs. Her sweet nature and playful spirit are contagious. If you're looking for a furry friend who’s ready to shower you with affection and enjoy life's adventures, Destiny is your girl!   Destiny is current on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Current on flea preventative and heartworm preventative.  Puppies and young adults should remain socialized to other dogs in their formative stages, so homes that can provide exposure to fully vaccinated and healthy well-behaved adult dogs is strongly preferred. *Local adoptions (within 1 hour of New Orleans). We do NOT ship animals. Home check is required, therefore, we will be delivering this dog to your home. If you have read the information in the links provided above and think that this dog is a fit for your lifestyle and home, please completed a   Dog Adoption Application Our adoptions include a foster period of 4-6 weeks so that you can be sure that this pet is a good fit without any pressure, and we are available to answer any behavior or training questions during that time (and beyond, if you wish).

Adoption Process
The adoption fee for animals adopted through PAS ranges from $75 up to $250 for pure breed pets. The average adoption fee is $150. All animals offered for adoption are spayed or neutered, heartworm negative or undergoing treatment, up to date on vaccinations, have undergone an intestinal parasite check and are verified to be in good health by our participating veterinarians. Adoption also includes microchip. In addition to completing an adoption contract, potential adopters should be prepared to agree to a veterinarian reference check and home visit. A valid drivers license or state I.D. card is required. This simple yet thorough screening process allows us to place the right animal in your committed, loving home.
