STRAY NEW INTAKE 12/14/2024 STRAY HOLD THRU END OF DAY 12/18/2024 This dog was found tied by a cable to a highway sign off of Hwy 154 in the Elm Grove area one morning about two weeks ago. She wasn't quite sure what to do at the time and then found out about us and reached out. We made contact and took him in. He is not microchipped. We have notified animal control that we have him and he has been registered in their system. If no one comes forward by END OF DAY on 12/18/2024, he will be legally our dog and we will send him to our vet for vetting and then place him for adoption. You must show proof this is your dog via pictures... vet records, etc. We don't go off of "see if the dog will answer to xxxx". We don't go off of someone just saying the dog is their dog. You must have PROOF! We do NOT take applications for dogs UNTIL they are posted for adoption provided no owner comes forward during stray. Early applications BEFORE the dog is posted for adoption will not be processed. Thank you for your patience and understanding. For reference we named him Darrell.
Adoption Process
On-line adoption application required. If approved and at adoption we require adoption agreement, spay/neuter contract for puppies/kittens - adoption fees vary from $85 for felines and $150-$250 for dogs (varying depending on age, health, behavior, etc.) Adopters must have responsible dog-ownership history and stellar vet reference if applying to adopt a dog and vice versa for cats.
