Animal Aid for Vermilion Area

To date, Animal Aid for Vermilion Area, a non profit 501(c)3 animal rescue organization established in 1995, located in South Louisiana, has helped rescue thousands of animals.AAVA has worked through 5 natural disasters, including hurricanes Katrina and Rita. In the aftermath of Katrina, they helped unite people with their pets and saved cattle from drowning and starving.AAVA also helped pass the Pet Evacuation Bill that keeps service animals and pets from being left behind during a disaster.AAVA has been helping animals and their owners for over 25 years, and one of their goals is to rescue and rehome as many animals as possible from the local Animal Control facility, a high kill pound with no adoption program. While all pounds are always full of dogs and cats for adoption, we are facing a particular challenge: this is a high kill pound with no adoption program

Meet Hank

Meet Hank, an extraordinary seven-year-old bully breed who truly stands out from the rest. Hank's striking physique is a testament to his dedication to fitness, making even the most committed gym-goers envious. But don't judge a book by its cover—Hank is a gentle giant at heart, despite his robust exterior.Under the nurturing care of a compassionate foster, Hank has transformed into a model of obedience, readily responding to her every command and melting in her presence. He craves love and cuddles, with the occasional energetic romp in the field before retreating to the comfort of the couch. Hank may not always be aware of his own strength in unfamiliar settings, but thanks to his patient caretaker, he's learning to embrace new experiences like trips to places like Tractor Supply. If you're in search of a loyal canine companion who will shower you with unwavering affection, Hank is the perfect choice. While he may not readily share his affection with other animals, his presence alone is more than enough to fill your heart with love. Hank offers the kind of unconditional love that only a devoted dog can provide. If you desire a faithful companion who will give you their heart and soul, Hank is the one you've been looking for.
