NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 2/14/2025: Mardipaw - female - approx 7 months (approx DOB 7/14/2024) - 23.12 pounds - Australian Cattle Dog Reason for intake: Mardipaw landed herself at Bossier City Animal Control. They asked for our help and we took her in. What a gorgeous and SWEET dog... she rolls on her back for belly rubs. Just precious! She has some dangling rear dew claws that we'll have removed when she is spayed, along with everything else. She's heading to our vet the week of 2/17/2025. Stay tuned! NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link: https://www.facebook.com/share/1B46skRWF5/ OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
Adoption Process
On-line adoption application required. If approved and at adoption we require adoption agreement, spay/neuter contract for puppies/kittens - adoption fees vary from $85 for felines and $150-$250 for dogs (varying depending on age, health, behavior, etc.) Adopters must have responsible dog-ownership history and stellar vet reference if applying to adopt a dog and vice versa for cats.
