Marvel (NOT YET AVAILABLE - STRAY)

Ninna's Road to Rescue

I, Ninna Lopez, have been in rescue since 2007, managing a large no-kill shelter before starting Ninna's Road to Rescue in 2012. We have rescued and rehomed 1000's of animals. Our facility is climate controlled and the animals stay indoors at night in specially designed doggy rooms. They have access to the outdoors during the day in a large fenced in area. It's a little bit of paradise for the dogs until they find their furever home.

NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 12/3/2024:  Marvel - male - approx 8 years old - 8.12 pounds - Yorkie Reason for intake:  STRAY INTAKE - This little dog was caught on the Ring camera of their backyard at 2am on November 28, 2024, in Greenacres Place, Bossier City, La.  The finder brought him inside.  The following day, she started posting all over social media.  She also went to a local vet clinic to have him scanned but they did not find a chip.  (When he arrived to us, we did pick up a chip on our scanner... which was not registered and only backtracked to the manufacturer.)   Anyway, she did notify us about the dog and we posted the dog on our page and on the Buddies of Bossier City Animal Control page which we also run.  The finder is going out of town at the end of the week and needed a place for him to go and we agreed to take him in.  We appreciate her efforts to find his home and for keeping him until something could be figured out.  We HAVE notified Bossier City Animal Control and he is registered in their system as a stray.  If an owner comes forward during stray, the dog will need to be reclaimed through them and reclamation fees paid.  Stray hold will be up at 4pm, Friday, December 6, 2024.   NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS:  Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed.  Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining.   In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason.  We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption.  In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered.  Please note…  we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption.  Please wait until the dog is available for adoption.  We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link:  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.416768288349589&type=3 OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Adoption Process
On-line adoption application required. If approved and at adoption we require adoption agreement, spay/neuter contract for puppies/kittens - adoption fees vary from $85 for felines and $150-$250 for dogs (varying depending on age, health, behavior, etc.) Adopters must have responsible dog-ownership history and stellar vet reference if applying to adopt a dog and vice versa for cats.
