Needed: adopter/rescue with XXL experience! Please read the whole post before commenting/calling... We currently have 2 very bonded VERY large German Shepherds (Hugo is likely a mix) in our care . Goliath (black and tan) and Hugo (brown) were found together at an apartment complex and never claimed. We've been trying to find rescue for them but have been unsuccessful this far. These boys are bonded. And we don't usually use that term but yes, they truly are. We need someone with the experience, time, and room to take on both these giants. Here's a little info.. Hugo is an 85# (and constantly gaining) German Shepard mix around 2 years old. Hugo tested negative for heart worms. Goliath also around 2 years old is 105# (and gaining) but tested positive for heart worms. These boys do not do well when separated. They need to go together. The perfect person for them will have experience with not just German Shepherds but also large dogs like these. Owning 1 let alone 2 big guys is not going to work for Everyone. The boys have passed their temp tests with other dogs and enjoy being around people but because of their size we do not recommend them for anyone with small children. Open to adoptions to the right home or rescue pull. Home check and fenced yard will be required for adopting so we can ensure these guy go to the perfect and secure home. They both have been neutered and are current on all vaccines! Give us a call at 225 686 7798 for more information on adopting! PLEASE SHARE!
Adoption Process
adopters have to fill out our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee which is $80 dollars ($40 for heartworm positive dogs.) this includes all their shots, including rabies and rabies tags, de-worming, and all dogs are spayed/neutered before they leave the shelter.
