Miss Maam (NOT YET AVAILABLE)

Ninna's Road to Rescue

I, Ninna Lopez, have been in rescue since 2007, managing a large no-kill shelter before starting Ninna's Road to Rescue in 2012. We have rescued and rehomed 1000's of animals. Our facility is climate controlled and the animals stay indoors at night in specially designed doggy rooms. They have access to the outdoors during the day in a large fenced in area. It's a little bit of paradise for the dogs until they find their furever home.

Meet Miss Maam (NOT YET AVAILABLE)

Please don't forget us during GIVE FOR GOOD NOW thru May 6, 2025! https://www.giveforgoodnla.org/nr2r NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 4/18/2025:  Miss Maam - female - approx 8 years old - 11.2 pounds - Yorkie Reason for intake:  Sometimes, you can't really tell what is going on with a dog unless you get multiple photos.  At first glance at the middle picture you might think "oh she just needs a groom"... until you start examining the rest of her body!  We were tagged in a post on Facebook that included two dogs and several cats.  The poster indicated that her mother passed away in 2013.  When she passed her mom and stepdad had a lab.  When her mom passed she lost contact with the stepdad as he remarried.  She found out recently that he passed and the new wife moved out leaving the lab, a yorkie and several cats.  The condition of the home was not good for any of the animals and they were all in horrible shape.  After she got permission from the new wife to release the animals, we agreed to take in the yorkie and all the other animals have been rescued as well.  The first thing we did was contact Wendy, our groomer... and we will post in the comments her aftter picture which she looks like a completely different dog! Miss Maam is heading to our vet on 4/22/25 for everything she needs in terms of vetting.  She is the sweetest little girl... just so excited to be around people!  Stay tuned! NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS:  Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed.  Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining.   In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason.  We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption.  In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered.  Please note…  we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption.  Please wait until the dog is available for adoption.  We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link:  https://www.facebook.com/share/1B46skRWF5/ OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Adoption Process
On-line adoption application required. If approved and at adoption we require adoption agreement, spay/neuter contract for puppies/kittens - adoption fees vary from $85 for felines and $150-$250 for dogs (varying depending on age, health, behavior, etc.) Adopters must have responsible dog-ownership history and stellar vet reference if applying to adopt a dog and vice versa for cats.
