Meet KASH

KASH was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas and will be   travelling to  Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine on Saturday, 8 March where she will wait for her forever family to find her. We are accepting applications from families interested in giving this sweet girl her forever home. We will update pictures and information when she has arrived and settled in. KASH is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm and tick tested negative, is on monthly preventatives, microchipped, weighs around 37 pounds and is around 18 months old. The shelter volunteer stated (23 January) Kash was bright, alert, responsive, easy to handle, gets sniff when about to be rubs and is scared, tail tucked, allowed rubs and rest head in hand during face rubs. (27  January) Dog was gentle with her energy towards others. Was shy with the playgroup and ostly did her own thing and sat in the corner after some time. Didn't mind the others and does good in gentler yard.   (Rescue comments - it is important to take into account when reading these comments that these dogs are in a strange environment with a lot of dogs, and they are learning about each other in a very small space of time, it is high stimulation environment, also often the first time they have had exercise with other dogs.  Comments are from volunteers, not trainers or behavio rists). We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. KASH is available for adoption for an adoption fee of $550, as noted she is located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine and families are required to complete and submit an  adoption application and when approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and hopefully take home this sweet girl. Applications are processed with 24 hours of them being received.
