PETEY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Petey Best Guess for Breed: Cairn terrier mix Best Guess for Age: 6 years as of February 2025 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 30 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested if you have them. Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here! Petey is Looking For: His forever family! This absurdly cute fuzzy tube on stubby little legs landed in the shelter through no fault of his own and he is eager to once again have his own humans. Sniffy walks, romps, world exploration - yes, please! Exploring all the toys, quality kibble, and a cushy dog bed all sound good to him too. (And yes, daily brushing and regular grooming - that coat is gonna need maintenance to prevent painful mats!). But what he wants most of all is to know he's safe and loved and under his own roof. In exchange he promises to always make you smile when you look at his lolling tongue and awesomely proportioned body - to always give you adoring gazes - and to be a loyal companions for all his days. What do you say? Is Petey the one you see down there by your side? What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once he has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with his foster.
