WINNIE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Winnie        Best Guess for Breed:  Boxer and Border Collie mix Best Guess for Age:   8 months as of Feb. 2025          SEX:    Female   Approximate Weight:   30 lbs as of February 2025; she is still growing   Gets Along With:   Other dogs! We haven’t seen Winnie with cats or kids, but she can be tested!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter - Winnie needs a foster or adopter to make her way to the DC area   Special adoption considerations:    {example, no kids, needs second dog etc. Delete if not applicable}   Winnie is Looking For:    Winnie is a young, playful Boxer mix with a gorgeous white and brindle coat that makes her stand out in a crowd! This sweet girl is full of life and love, always ready for an adventure or a cuddle session on the couch. Winnie has the perfect mix of energy and affection—she loves to run and play but also enjoys belly rubs and snuggles with her favorite humans. She’s a smart pup who’s eager to learn, making her a great candidate for training and fun activities like hiking or agility.  She gets along well with other dogs and would love a playful pup sibling, but she’d be just as happy soaking up all the attention as the only dog in the home. Winnie is looking for a family that will give her the love, structure, and playtime she deserves. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
