If you are interested in adopting this dog, please email the adoption counselor: [email protected] and request an adoption application. Dog's Name: Bart Estimated Breed : Chihuahua Mix Approximate Age: 2 yrs Approximate Weight: 25 lbs Currently Living at: Hatton Ranch Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Looking for a furry companion who will bring joy, loyalty, and endless love into your home? Bart is the one for you! This sweet and deserving gentleman had a rough start in life and has been waiting in the wings for awhile for his forever home. He is ready to find his forever family. Here’s a little about him: Personality: Bart is a very energetic young man who loves to run and play, but at the end of the day, he's all about cuddling up with you on the couch to watch TV or just chill out. Bart likes the company of people as well as other dogs and cats, so if you have a full house, Bart is happy to share his love with everyone! Bart loves toys and has not met a chew toy that he has not been able to destroy - he challenges you to find one that will survive his playtime! Training & Behavior: Bart is crate trained and housebroken, as long as he goes outside on a regular basis. Health & Wellness: Bart came to us from a shelter in Texas with a broken left pelvis and 3 breaks in his right rear leg. We believe poor Bart was hit by a car which caused his injuries. Bart underwent surgery and has made a full recovery. His past injuries have not slowed him down, or curbed his great enthusiasm for love and life! Perfect Home: Bart is an all around sweet guy who would work well most home environments. He is outgoing, playful, and sweet. Bart is energetic, so be prepared to give him exercise! Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee. Sponsor Me! Make a tax-deductible donation today by visiting us at https://www.hattonanimalrescue.org/sponsor. Donations help us offset boarding costs and additional medical treatment for those dogs who need it.
