Meet Barley
Barley is the pretty close to the perfect dog! She’s a 3 year old terrier mix and loves to play but is also just as happy to cuddle and sit quietly on the couch. She is always right by her people and loves peanut butter and her toy duck. She is good with kids and curious about cats (but hasn’t been tested in the same room as them yet). She knows sit and is working hard on leash and crate training. She enjoys long walks and car rides and has not shown any aggression towards food, dogs or people. She is currently 48 lbs but could stand to gain a few. She would do best with kids 5+ as she is a strong girl and not always award of her own strength. She is UTD on all vaccines, heartworm/flea meds and will be getting spayed soon. Coming from a shelter, she has some separation anxiety and would do best with an experienced dog owner and someone that is home a good amount of time. . She is such a good dog and deserves all the love in the world! Adoption fee: $525, includes all shots, sterilized, heartworm negative, dewormed, flea preventative, microchip
Adoption Process
Our adopters fill out an application that screens for problems that may be detrimental to our cats and kittens. Once the adopter is approved we provide veterinary referrals which help with low cost spays or neuters for the kittens that are too young at the time of adoption. We are always available to help with behavioral issues that arise. We provide numerous information sheets in our adoption folders, plus the medical background of each cat. The only fees involved with our program are adoption fees that offset our veterinary bills.
