ENNEDY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Ennedy        Best Guess for Breed:  Terrier mix  Best Guess for Age: 5 months as of March 2025       SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:  14 lbs as of 4/2/25; she is still growing!    Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  Puerto Rico shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to escape!   Special adoption considerations:  Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   Ennedy is Looking For:  Her forever home! Ennedy may not be a tiny squishy puppy but she is still an older baby dog and wants what all babies want - Lots of love and play time and snuggles! She is a rescue from Vieques Island, Puerto Rico and is eager to be in the DC area to get her own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and all the adventures they can dream up. Making pup pals along the way would be great too! And going to dog school so she can show how super smart she is.    Most of all, though. she wants to be safe and loved for all her days, to know where she belongs. In exchange she promises adoring gazes and little tail wags and loyal companionship. What do you say? Is this sweet scruffy girl the one for your home and your heart? What My Foster Says About Me:  We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time in foster care.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
