Meet Miss Sophie
MISS SOPHIE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Miss Sophie Best Guess for Breed: Border collie mix Best Guess for Age: 9 months as of January 2023 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 31 lbs as of 1/8/23 - might still have a bit more to grow Gets Along With: Other dogs! We have tested Miss Sophie with some of the cats at the shelter, and she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that she could live with a cat, she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack! We have not seen her with kids but she can be tested. Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride up here! Miss Sophie is Looking For: Her forever family! She has all that young-dog energy; she's eager to get her own humans for long walks, romps in the park, and all those adventures awaiting them. Her mix includes a herding breed , and those dogs can run all day. Miss Sophie might need a lot of just that - activity. Mere daily walks and/or time in the yard won't be enough. She told us she really wants to be one of those sporty dogs who does advanced obedience training, agility, or nose work! But what she wants most of all is to know she's under her own roof, safe and loved, for all her days. In exchange for that and scratches and pats, she promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship. What do you say? Is Miss Sophie the one for your home and your heart? What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.
