PAGE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Page      Best Guess for Breed: Retriever mix (some lab in there!)   Best Guess for Age:   2 years as of March 2025        SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight:  53 lbs   Gets Along With:   Page is great with other dogs! She hasn't been seen with kids or cats but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters.    Currently Living at:   Texas shelter; needs a forever home in the DC area to escape!   Page is Looking For:  This great girl has been in a shelter so far south in Texas, it's 30 miles from the Mexican border, since she was a small puppy. She had been in that shelter for over 500 days before she turned two years old - and she's still there. She's grown from a young pup into a wonderful adult dog. Despite her loving nature and playful energy, she has been overlooked time and time again—just one of many black dogs waiting for a chance. This sweet girl absolutely loves water, thrives on playtime, and gets along beautifully with both humans and other pets. She’s full of life, love, and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to see her for the incredible dog she is. Page has spent far too long watching others find their forever homes—now it’s her turn! Could you be the one to give her the love and adventure she deserves?    Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
