Meet Dodge
DODGE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet DODGE and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (October 9th) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Kensington (5154 Nicholson Ln, Kensington, MD 20895)! Name: Dodge Best Guess for Breed: Catahoula mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of August 2022 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 28 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We have tested him with some of the cats at the shelter, and he did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that he could live with a cat, he has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack! We haven't seen him with kids but he can be tested. Currently Living at: DC area foster home Dodge is Looking For: This sweet boy had a rough start - he came from a hoarding situation. But that hasn't stopped him one bit. He's a loving boy eager to have his own humans. He's a young boy and has so many years ahead of him - years full of adoring gazes and tail wags and loyal companionship. What do you say/ Will you be the one to show him how wonderful life can be, and get all his love in return? What My Foster Says About Me: Dodge is a spunky and curious little guy! He enjoys going for walks around the neighborhood and does well on leash. He also likes the dog park (I've taken him to 3 different ones so far), where he alternates between playing with other dogs and running around by himself. Or more accurately... *jumping* around by himself, he's got a spring in his step! Dodge also enjoys a good game of fetch, and he *almost* always brings the ball back (lol)! At the adoption event, he followed my lead, and was happy to either walk around and socialize or sit patiently. At home he likes to play with a variety of toys but mostly he prefers to chew on bones. He's very food motivated and literally jumps with joy when it's mealtime. He's learning to sit for treats, and he likes treats of all kinds! When he's worn out, he cuddles with me on the couch while I watch TV or read. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
