FIZZY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME WITH A WELCOMING RESIDENT DOG AND NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 12!!!!   Come meet Fizzy and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (March 19th) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!   Name:  Fizzy       Best Guess for Breed:  Shepherd mix    Best Guess for Age:  5 months as of February 2023       SEX:   Male   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):   17 lbs as of 2/24/23   Gets Along With:    Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs and cats so long as they receive patience and proper training. Due to his shyness, Fizzy may not go to a home with children under the age of 12.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Check out this video of Fizzy: https://youtu.be/LHtVzxD9JIw.   Special Adoption Considerations:   Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.    Because this little guy is shy, he needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog to show him the ropes. Due to his shyness, we do not recommend him for a home with children under the age of 12. Fizzy is Looking For:  His forever home! This super sweet fuzzball wants lots of snuggles and play time and his very own humans. This is a personal message from him:"I can't wait to get mine! I want lots of cuddles! And because I didn't get out much when I was an even smaller baby than I am now, I'm a little shy. I'd love to go to a home with a super welcoming dog who will show me around and teach me how to dog. Puppy kindergarten will help me build my braves as well! In exchange, I promise to give you lots of love."What do you say? What My Foster Says About Me: Fizzy is starting to get used to being in a house, He loves a good cuddle and is like hugging a teddy bear. He is taking a liking to stuffies and is opening up more each day.  He is currently learning on walking on a leash and is not particularly treat motivated at the moment. He is making strides and will be a great addition to any family! Puppy Vetting Requirements:    Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.      Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:  The adoption fee for this dog is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
