Adopt A Homeless Animal Rescue

Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form. We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Meet Glimmet

Meet 1.5 year old Glimmet, the sweet, handsome, young pup with the spirit of “loving life”. At age one and a half, this resilient pup thrives with great happiness in his foster home. 71 pound Glimmet listens well and is a quick learner. He is potty trained and house trained. He knows which are his toys and what are not his to chew. He is playful, loves his rope toys and squeaky toys. He can be exuberant and energetic, yet can quickly settle and quietly snooze besides you for hours while you are busy doing things. Glimmet loves treats and is easy to train. He has learned basic manners like sit, wait, stay, touch and leave it, etc. He is a great walking companion, has good leash manners, does not pull, and pays attention to what you ask of him. For dogs he meets, he usually ignores them or just looks. For some he does try to get closer. He does try chasing after squirrels, birds and rabbits. For all this, we are working on sit for treats instead of running after critters or focusing on other dogs on the walk. He is doing very well already! Glimmet is a healthy eater – crunchy carrots and healthy green beans are his favorite snacks. He loves kisses and snuggles. At 71 pounds and wiggly, Glimmet considers himself a lapdog. It usually takes some efforts for him to settle on your lap!! He is affectionate, has the young pup’s curiosity, is fun loving and eager to please. If that is what you are looking for in a pup, Glimmet is the one. Reach out and meet Glimmet. Give him a chance of happy life and a forever home and he will give you all the love and kisses you’ll ever want!

Adoption Process
We do require an adoption application, and once this is approved, followed by a home visit and adoption fee $175.
