LOVEPAWS

We are similar to Baltimore-based RescueWell in trying to keep pets in their homes but we focus our efforts on low-income areas of PG County. We do not pull animals from the shelter but instead work with pet owners to keep pets in their homes through various types of assistance including our county-wide pet food bank and re-homing. We also help promote animals at the Prince George's County Animal Shelter through shelter photo shoots and adoption events.

Meet Bomba

Bomba is the sweetest and most lovable little boy.  From wrestling to snuggling, his personality is infectious! Bomba's perfect day would be to eat breakfast next to his human and run around the yard.  If the leaves are falling, even better ...what an excuse not to rake! He has a puppy's curiosity about the world around him but, at his heart, Bomba is a lap dog. Bomba loves to lay on your lap or nestle into your neck, that is his favorite place to be and a trait he is unlikely to grow out of. Even a car ride is enjoyed by our sweet little guy. Bomba was brought to the shelter as a stray and is still exploring the life of a house dog. He hasn't figured out the joys of a good toy yet, but he sees his fur siblings playing and it looks fun.   Bomba is underweight and a slow eater.  He would need a family that can provide small meals multiple times a day, without competition from other pets.  Bomba would do best in a home with a yard to explore and protect from passerbys.   Interested in adopting? Adoption Process
We work with owners to find fosters and adopters and put them in touch with each other and provide owner to foster contracts, owner to adopter contracts, and other forms necessary to help owners facilitate these processes.
