CASHEW NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!    Name:  Cashew            Best Guess for Breed:   Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier Mix      Best Guess for Age:  4.5 months as of 7/24            SEX:  Female   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):  27lbs as of 7/26/23   Gets Along With:  Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special Adoption Considerations:  Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Cedar is Looking For:   Heya, Hiya! I'm Cashew and I'm ready to be your forever friend! My siblings, Cara, Cedar, and Cinnamon, have loved rolling around in a very cute puppy pile, but I'm ready to pack my puppy suitcase and go out on my own. I'd like to request a family that will give me lots of belly and ear rubs (my ears are divine after all) and toys, treats, and more toys! When I'm a little bit older, I'd love to explore my new neighborhood on lots of silly puppy walks. Of course, I'll definitely want to meet lots of other dogs and people along the way so I grow up to be a well socialized pup. I know that's important. What do you say? Am I the cutie for you?   What My Foster Says About Me: Cashew is a smart playful puppy! She’s learning super fast and is getting more confident around the house. She loves to play with other dogs and gets along with kids. She sleeps through the night in her crate and is a really sweet girl.       Puppy Vetting Requirements:  Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.      Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
