LUNAR NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Lunar Best Guess for Breed: Labrador / Retriever mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year 3 months as of February 2025 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 31 lbs as of February 2025 Gets Along With: Other dogs! We have not seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested. Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter. Lunar needs a foster or forever home to come up to the DC area. Lunar is Looking For: A family who can give her lots of belly rubs, treats, and opportunities to run around with other dogs! Lunar wants a chance to show off her smarts and continue her training so she can be the best girl. A warm bed, high quality kibble, and love - that would be the dream! What Shelter Staff Says About Me: Lunar spent some time on the Dogs Playing For Life Canine Center campus in Florida. There, she received basic training and enrichment, and socialized with other dogs. Shelter staff say she has been working on the "sit" and "place" commands, loose leash walking, and learning to sit and wait at thresholds and cross only after being invited to do so. In playgroup with other dogs, she made many dog friends and became a helper for dogs who needed more help with socialization. She loves to play doggie tag with her friends and would do great making more doggie friends when she goes to her forever home! What My Foster Says About Me: Coming soon! We will update this when Lunar has spent time in a foster home. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
