CHERRY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Cherry Best Guess for Breed: Min pin mix Best Guess for Age: 6 years as of October 2024 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 10.2 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested Currently Living at: Texas shelter; will come to the DC area Special adoption considerations: Because Cherry is being transferred into our care from a shelter without access to veterinary care, she is not yet spayed. We will alter her as soon as possible after she is in our care. However, if she is adopted before we can spay her, her adopter must make arrangements for her to be spayed by November 26, 2024. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this deadline. Cherry is Looking For: Her forever family! Through no fault, this sweetie needs a new home. She's eager to once again have her own humans for sniffy walks and romps and all the adventures they can dream up - hey she may be 6 or so but small dogs' batteries last a LONG time and she's ready to go! Plus, at her size if there are giant obstacles in her path - hey, she's portable! Most of all, she wants to be safe and loved for all her days. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application
2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit.
3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
