Rescue Well Incorporated

Our organization primarily helps owners keep pets in safe and healthy homes. We do this by offering support (i.e. training advice, management), supplies (i.e. food, crates, leashes), and we work closely with animal control on cases where owners truly just need help keeping pets. When re-homing is best, we work with owners to provide re-homing assistance which includes marketing and screening of applicants, as well as post-adoption support for adopters.

Meet LINCOLN (BONDED W/TUCKER)(COURTESY POST)

Lincoln is 4-1/2yo, weighs 75lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccinations, and is microchipped.  Lincoln is alone 8-10 hours/day; she is kept in her crate during the day and sleeps on the couch at night.  "He doesn't like when another dog gets in his space while he has a treat or a toy; hasn't bitten though, just growls a little.  He does okay in the car.  We have a seatbelt for him.  He knows basic commands 'sit', 'stay', 'lay down', and 'paw'."  Lincoln's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him:  Lincoln's guardian experienced an abrupt housing situation and cannot take him with her to her new home. Lincoln's guardian offers a brief a medical history:  "Lincoln had a large portion of his bowel removed about a year and a half ago due to a blockage.  He still eats and drinks normally." Lincoln's guardian states the following regarding children:  Since Lincoln lives with children, ages 1 & 3, his guardian recommends his living with children, stating "He hasn't really been around kids outside the home, but does fine with my two young daughters". Lincoln's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Since Lincoln lives with a dog, his guardian recommends his living with dogs, stating "He hasn't been around many dogs outside the home, but does well with our other dog.  He doesn't seem to mind other dogs when he's at the vet's office". Lincoln's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Since Lincoln hasn't live with nor otherwise been around cats, his guardian doesn't recommend his living with cats. Lincoln's guardian describes him as: Very active Couch potato Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Independent House-Trained Crate-Trained Likes men Likes women Lincoln's guardian describes his ideal future home: "Lincoln would benefit most from a family with a fenced in yard since he has a lot of energy.  He does well with kids but hasn’t really been around other dogs or cats.  We have another dog named Tucker that I would like for him to be rehomed with since they have grown up together but I understand if this is not possible." Rehoming Fee:  None Location:  Dover, PA (Guardian to transport for meet and greet)
