Meet Black Pearl

At only 6 months old, Black Pearl's owners decided to surrender her and her brother to the shelter. Surrendered dogs at the shelter that they took her to automatically are euthanized these days, so Lovepaws stepped in before her owners turned her over and asked if they would give us a few days to find a foster home for Pearl in order to save her live. Thankfully, they were agreeable to that plan. Pearl is still new to us and we're learning new things about her everyday, but we are pleased with what we've learned so far. She is very loving and affectionate. She enjoys rides in the car and will jump in on her own ready for an adventure. Her foster parents are teaching her sit and down. Her favorite toys are balls and stuffies. She'll run with abandon when taken off-leash in fenced areas. She'll snuggle in the same bed with her people, but is also content to sleep alone in a dog bed. Pearl lived with an active child in her former home so she's used to the chaos that kids can bring, but because of her size, we'd like to see her in a home with kids 8 and up. Adoption Process
We work with owners to find fosters and adopters and put them in touch with each other and provide owner to foster contracts, owner to adopter contracts, and other forms necessary to help owners facilitate these processes.
