CAM NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!   Name:   Cam           Best Guess for Breed:    Lab and terrier mix   Best Guess for Age:  2 months as of 2/14/25           SEX:    Male   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):    10 lbs as of 2/11/25   Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:     Rural shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get his freedom ride up here!   Special Adoption Considerations:       Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Cam is Looking For:   Hiya! I'm Cam and I'm ISO my family for play time and snuggles and more play time! In a little while I'll be ready to go on walks and explore my new neighborhood and the rest of the world with you. I want to go to puppy school, too, so I can learn to be the bestest boy. I promise to give you lots of tail wags and kisses - and to always be by your side.    What do you say? Is there a space on your lap and in your life for me? What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once he has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with his foster. Puppy Vetting Requirements:  Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.      Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than June 14, 2025. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets.   Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
