Meet Gravy

Meet Gravy! A fun-loving almost five-year-old Labrador Retriever/American Pitbull Terrier mix from Sun Prairie, WI, whose favorite thing in life is cuddling up with his human friends. Wrapped in a sleek black coat with a charming little white blaze on his chest, Gravy is an affectionate, large-sized pup who tips the scales at sixty-eight pounds of pure love. He’s always on the lookout for a cozy nap buddy, especially if it means he can snuggle close and get some belly rubs! Gravy is not just about naps—he’s a playful boy who enjoys chew toys and is always ready for a good game. His sharp ears perk up at the sound of food falling to the floor, and he’ll be there in a flash to clean up any crumbs. Gravy is a smart cookie, too! He knows all the basic commands, like sit, stay, shake, come, and lie down, making him a joy to have around for any caregiver looking for a well-trained companion. Looking for a travel buddy? Gravy is your guy! Whether it’s a short trip to the park or a long road trip adventure, he’s a great passenger who enjoys the journey just as much as the destination! He loves meeting new people and always greets friends and strangers alike with a happy, wagging tail. However, due to his protective nature, Gravy would thrive best in a calm home without small children. Gravy lived peacefully with a cat for four years and would likely do well in a home with other feline companions. While Gravy gets along with some dogs, he can sometimes nip at smaller ones, so he would do best in a home with larger dogs or as the only dog. His heart is as big as his size, but he appreciates a peaceful environment where he won’t be startled or overstimulated, especially around his bed or food. He takes daily medication to help with his anxiety, which can pop up during vet visits or in large crowds, but with love and care, he’ll be your sweet, gentle boy for life. Could your home be the perfect match for Gravy? This big love bug is ready to bring cuddles, laughs, and plenty of companionship to a caring family. Does Gravy sound like the perfect addition to your life? Contact us at [email protected] to meet him!
